Pretty notable ingredients for tornado potential tomorrow where storms fire up. Especially to the west. We haven't had a confirmed tornado in New England so far this year...tomorrow might actually be the highest chance we've seen up to this point.

Over the years I've come up with ACE acceleration to measure the pulse or heartbeat of the hurricane season. Interestingly, the first big ACE heartbeat typically hits around August 20th, when Dr. Gray would famously ring his bell signaling the active part of the hurricane season.

Now that we're on the final day, a note on humidity. Yes, it's absolutely more humid than it used to be This July made 11 in a row with at least 20 days having a max dewpoint >65F Before this stretch, the longest such streak was...3 years. Humid days the baseline now

The land air did finally waft over to the airport this evening, giving us our 16th 90F+ day of the year. Only 5 other years on record have had more 90s at this point in the summer (most recently in 2013). #wbz
