Just did a huge sobbing dictation to close family to explain a current situation, and the phone somehow made up a totally different message that I can’t even begin to edit (like who was it even listening to?). So I just deleted all. That’s annoying. I nearly communicated with people. Oh well.

Everyone in the house is ill. We are all sitting in different rooms coughing and sniffing and vomiting and whatever. It’s a weird way of feeling cosy, but isn’t it nice to have somewhere to go to to be gross and disgusting on your own.

My head is currently in an everlasting loop of playing the Santa Baby song (Eartha Kitt, obv.). Has it even considered the amount of work associated with Christmas? How do I tell my subconscious that this is a time slip too far?

We were worried that the bulbs in the garden have been eaten by the squirrels again, because the squirrels are hungry fellows and care not for our ongoing investment in trying to cheer up early year. But two bulbs have come through in the last week. Only two, compared to SO MANY, but still. 🌷
