One of my few "party tricks" is taking silly text, activating character-brain, and fueling the circumstances with something ridiculously high-stakes… So you end up with stuff like "You're telling me a shrimp fried this rice?" but based in "You're terminally ill and didn't think I deserved to know?"

I cannot stress this enough: GRATITUDE. You have to be grateful for what you have RIGHT NOW otherwise you will not appreciate the good things coming your way.

Picked up a Humble bundle of Blender courses and assets. A friend is working on creating a game, and I volunteered to try and make assets for it. It'll be a long-term project but I love art. It should be fun!

Remember to rest when you can. Whether you have chronic fatigue, overwork, or just a lot of stress to deal with, your body can only handle so much. Rest is not a bad thing. Take it easy when you are able to.

Reminder that saying mocap actors are real actors and voice actors is somehow a lesser role- it just refers to what’s captured, not the extent of the acting or skill. Plenty of people are systemically locked out of mocap (ie not casting disabled performers) so let’s not suggest voice work is less.

Need to get back into writing. I had an idea for a game or visual novel and my brain stalled out last year. Thankfully I have friends reminding me to pick it back up. I'm a firm believer in making your own work. Learn what you can. Hire people to help. Lift everyone up.

There's a word that we in the US rarely use because in our vernacular, it's pretty explicit. However, other countries, particularly the UK and Australia, it has a COMPLETELY different context and is used far more frequently. ...I adlibbed that word into an Irish audition because it fit. Oh God.

Background characters are why I'm training so hard in becoming a character actor. Yes, of course, I'd love to be part of a main cast, but there's something special about having a creative keep coming back because you are so versatile. Voice *everything*. It's fun!
