When I read this I think about the English majors I've advised at my public college who are majoring in English despite their parents pushing them into majors like Comp-Sci because they think it's better for job prospects. They feel so much guilt and anxiety. Saving this for advising sessions!

I have no words for this thread. Is this how @cuny.edu spends its money? And on the campuses, we don't have money for replacing faculty that retire and leave, patching up leaking holes in building, hiring enough advisors. It makes me despair when I see how CUNY admins prioritize limited funding.
