little cat dude is back at the hospital for his stomach ulcers, just in time for a weekend of severe weather which is either gonna cost me a fortune in weekend care or force me to nurse him over said weekend with no access to the emergency vet 😐

little cat dude’s biopsies are finally back (turns out they’ve been back for a week, no one had time to call 🙃), nothing looks like cancer (although this was just an upper GI scope so it still doesn’t fully rule it out). His steroids might be starting to help but he still feels pretty icky 😔

little guy is absolutely flattened from his stay in the hospital, but he likes his feeding tube a lot better than me pestering him to eat when he really doesn’t want to. now we wait for his biopsy report

cat dude is staying another night at the hospital, but I got to visit him for a bit today. here he is slightly stoned on his pain meds and sporting some sparkle hearts in post to cover up his personal info collar lol

everything in my fridge is open cans of cat food. (not kidding, there are five open cans of cat food, two jars of cat-appropriate baby food and a packet of gravy topper)

cat is staying overnight, tomorrow he’s seeing the internal medicine docs… so far we’ve established that he has either lymphoma or one of several IBD-type syndromes, but his lymph node aspirates came back as not cancer-like so that is potentially positive my house is too quiet

cat’s at the local teaching hospital for workup, since he still isn’t eating… cross your fingers for the not-worst-case findings please 🤞

We’re doing stress-induced unmasking of chronic cat illness post-holiday petsitting I guess 😔 apparently my cat lost 3 pounds since July without my noticing (and got sick on the last day of my travel). His vet suspects hyperthyroid and I hope she’s right because that’s pretty treatable
