Two days ago, I had tiny needles shoot goop into the varicose vein on the back of my left leg. The hardest part? The sensory nightmare of a tensor bandage falling off when it's supposed to be snug to make the treatment work. Vetwrap saved the day for my thigh but didn't have enough for whole leg.

Knitters, have you ever knitted the body of a dropped-shoulder pullover flat (front, back separate), and sleeves in the round? Will sewing up be a nightmare? I like the idea of making the sleeves in the round but my brain doesn’t parse spatial stuff well so I can’t picture if I can make it work. 🧶

Knitty has it right. Funny enough, when I was in the planning for my podcast, I kept getting advice to use AI for scripting, for graphics, for subject matter, whathaveyou. No thanks. I’d rather be my authentic weird self, and I’d rather consume real content from real people.

In all my "Knitty doesn't use AI" messaging, I forgot that designers might want to turn to it for a tweak to their intro or a tarting-up of their photos. Whoops. It's now in the Submission Guidelines, and is the last item to confirm on the Submission Form. We don't do AI. Please you don't either. 🧶

One thing I love about designing sock knitting patterns is how you can cram so many pretty details into such a small space. They're a little jewel box of stitches.

In 2021, I got my ADHD diagnosis. Last week, I got that diagnosis updated through formal evaluation. I'm actually AuDHD. Though honestly, there are key Autistic traits that I absolutely have, and they're all laid out on the right side of the graphic below.

We're back and it was GOOD. I floated 50 feet from a loon in the middle of the day. A fish of some description (bass?) tried to nibble my ankle bracelet off cause sparkly. Sky got to roam the hills and chase everything that moved. Hub read and chilled. I rediscovered my Kobo and read, too.

Three days ago, sleep doc gave me the results of my latest sleep test: I am now borderline for Apnea treatment. So he said I could stop using my CPAP. First night was H.A.R.D. I'd trained myself to feel safe with mask on. Second night I had a little help from an edible. I'm not waking up gasping.

Embarrassing. My ND brain is not braining today. 32-row swatch was 4.25” tall before washing/drying; 3.875” after. So 7.53 rows/inch before 8.26 after. Need to calculate how much more length to add to get the correct finished length throughout pattern after washing. Cannot compute. 🧶
