Jeff Hoffman comes in to face Grichuk, Yaz and Witt in bot9, trying to shut down the win that will make #Bluejays the first AL team to clinch a playoff spot this season. #Jays lead 8-5.

Eric Lauer doesn't love being in the bullpen, but he just threw a brilliant bot8 to get #Bluejays back to the sticks, leading 8-5 to the 9th.

Anthony Santander, by the way, went 0-for-2 with two walks today in the final game of #Bisons season. He finishes his rehab assignment having hit .219 with an .811 OPS.

Yes, the call was terrible. The fan interference ridiculousness was because of a lack of angles in that minor-league stadium. But honestly, if "the fix was in" then #Bluejays would never have been allowed to get to 89 wins.

On the broadcast, Dan Shulman read an email from #MLB that said the replay officials could not definitely determine that Varsho had complete control of the ball before it hit the grass. So I guess it was the snowcone? Again, that's a huge stretch. #Bluejays

The only thing I can think of is that the replay official could not definitely determine that the ball didn't hit grass and glove at the same time, but that's a huge stretch. I can't believe that call, but I don't believe there's any #MLB conspiracy working against #Bluejays.

How can the replay officials say that there's no indisputable video evidence that shows Varsho caught that ball? That's ridiculous. I give them a lot of grace, but that's ridiculous. Now Brendon Little takes over for Yesavage, who will be denied a shot at his first #MLB win. 6-2 #Bluejays bot5.

It really does warm the heart that Davis Schneider has become an above-average defensive outfielder. Genuinely did not see that coming. A great catch at the wall ends a perfect bot2 for Yesavage. 3-0 #Bluejays to the 3th.

Springer doubles home Gimenez and now #Bluejays have scored as many runs in this inning as they had in the last four games combined.

Andres Gimenez singles home Nathan Lukes, then Heineman squeezes Clement home and it's 2-0 #Bluejays top2. This is the not only the first time #Jays have scored twice in a game since Tuesday, it's also the first time they've had two hits in the same inning since then!

Clement wearing some extra protection on his broken left hand after taking that line drive off that hand from Salvador Perez last night, and he gets a single. #Bluejays on 1st and 2nd with 1out, top2.
