It's been so satisfying to see Dan Goldman eat shit. Down 34 points. Who does that happen to anymore? He acted like NY-10 was NY-12âzero read on the district. If he cared to figure out who his constituents were, he would have seen this coming from a mile away

Today marks Nakba Day, an annual day of remembrance to commemorate the expulsion of more than 700,000 Palestinians between 1947 and 1949 during the creation of the State of Israel and the year that followed. Â Inea is a New Yorker and a Nakba survivor. She shared her story with us.

Sam takes the wrong lesson from the IRA b/c he assesses post-IRA politics purely through lens of Dem party politics (rather than broader societal dimensions, motivations, incentives/disincentives). Dems, in short, fixated on their own internal issues (e.g., Manchin) & misread broader post-IRA room.

This take misses something very important. As long as the villains of the climate crisis keep hoarding the resources we need to survive on an increasingly hostile planet, itâs worth talking about the role that they played in getting us here.

Everyone loves NASA missions so much. Itâs not just because itâs space travel itâs because there is a sense that we are doing something collectively that isnât purely evil vs. 20 exploding SpaceX rockets that dump garbage in poor Texas communities and low orbit that everyone forgets an hour later.

Hochulâs changing public positions on climate policy almost perfectly mirror those of the fossil fuel lobby. She cast herself as a climate leader, then said we needed an âall of the aboveâ approach, and now just seems outwardly hostile to the mere idea of taking this issue seriously.

I would argue that the case for dismantling ICE has, at this point, virtually nothing to do with larger questions of immigration enforcement and reform, it's just clearly incompatible with a free and democratic society to maintain a secret police force with sweeping and arbitrary authority.
