Minecraft players are lame as hell sometimes. Some of these people would not survive even a frame of fireworks arrow + harp crossbow enchanted with multi shot, chain reaction, growing, and gilded with infinity just to keep it going.

Glad to be a Minecraft Dungeons fan. MCD enjoyers don't question it when a corrosive anchor + void strike + power shaker artifact is a screen nuke that can obliterate some of the toughest mobs in seconds. And yet Minecraft players complain when the spear's basic attack can pierce more than one mob.

Nooo the spear is not supposed to be a good AoE weapon with its basic atta... Tell that to Minecraft Dungeons!

Though I believe the spear could still use another damage for its jab, I think they hit the nail on the head for its charging damage. It's high for most weapons, but if you want to tear through the best armor for non-flying players, the mace might be the better choice. #Minecraft

While I really like what the Minecraft CTS achieved though many of its changes, I think most weapons having varying reach was enough to overhaul basic melee attacks. You forgot about double charging to gain even more reach for a reason. (It was overcomplicated and pretty clunky feeling IMO.)

If they buff the spear's jab attack, which I believe is likely, I hope it'll just be a basic damage increase rather than giving it critical hits like other weapons. The spear should have its own strenths, such as crowd control. #Minecraft (The enchantments are Smite V and Fire Aspect II)

Now that we have a high reach weapon, I think it would also make sense to give the trident a smaller reach boost. That way, there are more melee options you can choose between based on the exchange between lower DPS / higher reach. #Minecraft #MountsOfMayhem

The frog seems a bit smaller than usual today. Perhaps not because the snapshot is small, but the frog might be worried about accidentally stepping on spear.

"We don't hate Mojang for their updates enough!" Good point, I do wonder why I don't see you tweeting at all during the Spring MCL show, or when a drop goes into snapshots or is just released. Totally isn't because there's no paycheck for the blue checks there though.

Imagine if Mojang actually timed a weapon for the Winter drop specifically because they knew that no matter what, most complaints will be pointed to the 1 in 4 drops announced during Winter MCL shows regardless of their contents, just as an excuse to stop adding new weapons.

Predictable. A drop purely focused on ambience, free hovering and crafting tweaks, or building and it's mostly silence. Then this drop adds the most clamored for features like more mob variety and a new weapon, and it's an uproar. Almost like it's mostly seasonal view farming rather than feedback.

Just had an interesting conversation about the new Spears and how they are the new teir wepon in a long time & got us thinking about how we only have 1 shield in the game that feels more mid game then a beginner shield.
