Yeah, this update is already a banger. Wool slabs and stairs are really funny. They're the most out-there of the three colored blocks (concrete, terracotta, and wool) to receive variants, yet they got them first. If we don't see concrete and terracotta variants too, I'll be pretty sad.

This is the best argument for concrete slabs, stairs, and walls in my eyes. There are so many issues with variety that just disappear if we have concrete in all the expected block varieties. It would be amazing if we had terracotta slabs, stairs, and walls too, but I doubt that will ever happen.

It's still wild that there are so many bricks in Minecraft now, and only ONE is in a cool color, which doesn't even use a square brick style. Can we not have deep blue bricks? Green bricks? Purple? So many gorgeous options are missing :(

I still think "concept art is not a commitment" is one of the weirdest rugpulls from Mojang ever. The 1.19 presentation showed Mangrove Swamp in-game -> Mangrove Swamp concept art -> Birch Forest concept art. It's wild to act like people shouldn't have expected Birch Forest features in 1.19.

I hate to harp on small things, but the "funny" descriptions in the new settings menu really irk me. Settings descriptions should be informative! Tell me what the settings do, especially when the name is as vague as "Fancy Leaves". They almost feel AI-generated, like the AI didn't have any context.

As always, folks, new drops don't play nice with Java and Console Aspects! I'll try to fix the most important issues (broken baby mobs) in the next month. It is frustrating when breaking changes like this release constantly. I feel like I just fixed the spear.

McDonald's cave update Why did they ask what colors were missing from the palette if they were going to just add more warm colors anyway 😭 Otherwise the sulfur cube looks pretty good! It definitely seems to indicate that we are getting slime redesigns soon. How many more redesigns will there be?
