First day complete at the new job, working as a Sr Software Developer Engineer in Test within the Accessibility team at BECU (Boeing Employee Credit Union). Lots to learn but it feels so good to be part of an accessibility team again!

Spent my two days not working getting a new car (Hyundai Ioniq 9) and also getting my old car serviced, so a lot of time sitting in lobbies of car dealerships.

Well it's official, today was my last day as the Web Accessibility Lead at ITHAKA. It's all so bittersweet, I learned a lot being the lone accessibility person within an org, both about myself and this profession. I'm very much looking forward to my next thing, but for now gonna enjoy my time off.

During today's all-staff I gave a demo of what it might be like for someone to use a screen reader while navigating our product's website. For some, this was the first time experiencing assistive technology in this way, and the org's president admitted that it "blew his mind".
