Addiction is the stupidest thing. I literally have liver disease and my brain is like, you know what would help? Alcohol. Literally had the thought that the heat being off could rationalize liquid warmth. Wtf brain?!

Reminding self that no one is worth losing seven years of sobriety over. Writing like half a sentence at a time, being upset, and writing another half sentence. This too shall pass.

After hospital, relatives, and now heat being out again (and you know, the world currently), I have devolved into a stuttering pile of lunacy muttering about gratitude to keep my head above water and avoid getting lost in the wallow! Today was a good reminder that DNA =/= family and that found family is everything! I am so grateful for my found family and can't wait to celebrate the wins of 2026 with them and feel loved and seen!
