We see in our data this is the case. Google effectively threatens publishers by cutting them off from search if they block crawling, but then using their web crawler for AI training. Every other AI company is blocked without this disadvantage. It's monopoly behaviour.

Until I started working at Cloudflare I thought durable objects were something clever but probably too low level to be useful. Now I use them for *everything*! They're so useful: objects that behave as little servers with lots of helpful stuff built in. They're also perfect for ATProto stuff.

If you cycle in London you've probably watched a Lime bike blow through a red light inches from a pedestrian. I think Lime's per-minute pricing is partly to blame: every second costs money, so riders race the clock. So I've made a route planner to see how the costs stack up.

Rather than reinventing countless wheels, Netlify and Cloudflare are now collaborating on framework detection and auto-configuration! Cloudflare engineers have been contributing to the open-source www.npmjs.com/package/@net..., which wrangler now leverages just like Netlify. 🤝

Think this is exactly right - political journalism that is completely abstracted from policy, which was not the norm before 2017, has become the default. Impossible to have a serious attempt to either shrink what the state does or widen the tax base (have to do at least one) on that basis.
