Doing Advocacy work for the AUWU shows me the shit people in need have to put up with because the government doesn't care. It's hard reading these stories. It should be affecting them equally. They're too important to worry about the cares of the little people who don't donate to them.

I got it on mental health grounds plus I have Fibromyalgia. It cost me a lot if money in medical bills to get reports from specialists & psychologist. The day I got age pension was such a relief. The unemployed are treated appallingly especially older people. I hate Labor for continuing cruelty!

When I was 60 I lost my job. First they made me wait 12 weeks before I got Newstart. So my savings, holiday pay gone. Then I had to do the job provider nightmare. I had to use part of my Super to survive. I rent. Job networks treat u like shit. I could go on for pages. After 3 years I got DSP.
