The dysfunction flows from 90%+ of federal judges being former Exec branch lawyers, including five of the six GOP SCOTUS appointees. We need jurists with far more well-rounded backgrounds on the bench at all levels, not former Exec branch power advocates everywhere in the federal judiciary.
