Today marks 75 years of Charles Schulz's Peanuts comic strip. As an avid follower and fan of the comic strip, perhaps one of the biggest honors in my career so far has to have been a storyboard artist on Snoopy In Space and Camp Snoopy - a small blip in the Peanuts legacy, but a major honor for me.

Okay, so Nelvana's just going dormant on the production side (according to its parent company), and the distribution of their shows will continue (for now). Still deeply concerned regarding the future of the studio, though, especially with where Corus is currently at this moment.

I think there's room for both affordable 2D and 3D stuff. "The Day the Earth Blew Up" only cost $15mil, Flow was barely $4mil. Both looked amazing, and people were (hopefully) paid well for their hard work. Still, passion and dedication can make a low budget project feel like a blockbuster.

For the record, Almost Naked Animals began airing in 2011. But yeah, I feel like being glad to have grown up with better Canadian cartoons from that era on my boxy TV like Jacob Two Two, Peep and the Big Wide World, Being Ian and Pecola (mainly a Japanese production with Canadian companies' help).

I’ve yet to watch the official final product, but this damn ordeal blows. I actually liked those animations posted on Instagram. If you don’t like a certain project, then fine. Just move on to better things.
