It's really rage filling watching an industry you love actively dying and seeing the corporate bastards who are bleeding it dry plunge in another dagger while saying "no we're helping save it" as they take a limb off.

This is now the FIFTH major round of layoffs at Xbox since the company spent almost $70B on Activision Blizzard in 2023. Another 3,200 livelihoods on the chopping block. Another deafening sucker punch for everybody at the company. Another stream of tone deaf excuses. Where is the accountability?

Just adding up the layoffs from today is putting collective centuries of experience in AAA dev out on the street. It's not just one person's career, but teams who've worked well together. A lot of this experience can't be copied by hiring different people. None of it can be copied using GenAI.

They crunch us and bleed us dry and leave the broken bones for scraps, and they make money every step along the way
