COD sales are down and as a COD sicko I'm kinda glad. I quite liked last year's Black Ops 6 but I got my fix of it's ADHD redbull gimmicky movement tech and I now just want COD to feel normal again. Hopefully these sales force another WW2/MW19 style course correction. I'm predicting they will.

almost finished The Order 1886 and it's definitely won me over but I totally get why someone would hate this game lol. So many QTEs I think especially after playing Skate it's nice to play a game that is so confident in itself and its aesthetic, and I love the ambition even if it goes unrealised

I was genuinely considering quitting Mafia: The Old Country right before it hit its stride in the final act which is actually really great? And kind of made me like the game overall? Now I'm gonna have that extra bit of anxiety about every game I quit a game early

A few hours into Mafia: The Old Country and I'm mixed. Mafia 1 and 2 used linearity and menial work gameplay as a storytelling device, so this game goes "back to the series roots" by being extremely linear and having extreme amounts menial work. As if to say look guys it's just like the old ones!!

Clair Obscur has an incredible opening but the next 10 hours feels like an endless hallway. I'm annoyed because I love the melodrama, music, and acting, but I find trawling through the levels to be pretty tedious. Death Stranding 2 representing Australian wildlife and our climate change issues is so cool man. It's just nice to have a game feature us in a way that isn't just "gday mate straya cunts" I feel very seen by daddy kojima playing this. Great game too, this series is so so special and so confident
