The far right is corrupt to the core #Reform

A quarter of the average UK energy bill last year was profit for the big energy companies. Meanwhile, almost three million households in England suffer fuel poverty. No one should be choosing between heating and eating while energy companies rake in billions.

I've started to notice that Zack Polanski often repeats lines I've heard elsewhere. That's in no way a criticism as the people he's borrowing from are exactly the experts which politicians should start listening to 🙌

It's quite hard to feel good about the world on this platform with the turbulence of information and constant onslaught of crushingly bad news. But it seems the project, at least, is to form a kind of consensus around a shared reality. Broadcast media is no longer functioning in this respect I feel

I joined the #GreenParty earlier this year as they're the only ones who seem to understand the problems and therefore have a hope of solving them

This is why Badenoch and Farage are idiots. They blame net zero for rising costs when data is clear: it is our reliance on gas and the way electricity prices are set by the cost of gas. I cannot emphasize enough how true & real this is. In almost anywhere on the political spectrum you ID with or major issue, there’s probably a bot/troll operation to encourage your rage and vitriol. And how/where that rage gets directed, esp understandable rage, is what they are out to influence.

The thought occurs that perhaps too much time and stress has been wasted on expressing anger about negative views (however toxic) online rather than focusing on more constructive discourse, developing positive ideas and sharing a better vision of what kind of world is possible
