I love when a DLC/Expansion maintains the quality of an already amazing game and also somewhat elevates that experience. "Foundation" is definitely an example of that.

Last night I rolled credits on CONTROL. It's been a very long time since a game has left me genuinely speechless.

CONTROL is unbelievable. I'd say "I can't believe I waited this long to play it" but I know that I had to wait for the right time for it.

I wasn't going to comment on JakeAGame coming back yesterday, but now that I have a clear head about the situation I can say that he single handedly ruined my social media experience this year, and deserves absolutely nothing. Fuck him and his excuses. Stay the fuck away.

I put a controller in my nearly 3 year old daughter's hands last night (playing Elden Ring) and she immediately picked up on how to move the character and camera around. She's going places.

did anyone else play the Army men games when they were younger? The were so silly, but weirdly comforting, fun and immersive. Also sort of ahead of their time for being somewhat "open world" and sandbox.

Battlefield 1 is still absolutely sensational.

Imagine a (singleplayer) survival horror open world that doesn't even have a super natural element. It literally would just be you trying to survive in a super dense forest, with dangerous wildlife and natural geographical hazards. I feel like there could actually be a compelling game idea there.

Anyone have any advice on how to get over being majorly spoiled for a game I wanted to play? I got spoiled on the opening and end of act 1 of expedition 33 and I honestly can't find it in me anymore to want to play the game now.

I actually think clearsky is a problem, actually. No one actually has privacy here, and if you have a stalker well, you're certainly fucked in that regard. Clearsky shouldn't exist, period.

I genuinely think this all started because of cinemasins. Critic culture and doing "gotchas" for points about media, games included, has become its own terrible hobby for some people. It's not a fulfilling way to consume media if the enjoyment comes from coming up with ways to tear it down.

The Battlefield 6 hype has gotten to me and I am thinking the next few weeks treating myself to a marathon of Battlefield games. Some of them I never finished the campaign for. Some I never touched. This should be an interesting experience.

I kinda feel like Expedition 33 is overdiscussed, which in turn is making it very hard for me to want to start it. I wish it was one of those game's that people said "oh the less you know, the better." Instead I know act 1 is really sad, and then act 2 is also really sad. I haven't even touched it.
