Today was amazing! For my first time vending, on short notice no less, I think my pieces & display turned out great. The 2nd guy was the finals, and he was a much better fighter than me. I got caught and cornered, so I did a single leg takedown and stabbed.

I won 2nd place at my sword school's big 3 day Labor Day tournament weekend! This is like their yearly Olympics, and I'm so happy I decided to go. And to think I almost didn't fight! I have been dubbed the "Pommel Princess" for my grappling lol 🗡 Fun fact: Their medals are crushed beer cans 😂💀

Me at longsword lessons 😂 It was so hot and humid we had to use foam swords instead of our steel (and, thus, no jackets). The drill was to run down an unarmed opponent with our swords to get a feel for reach. Running after dudes with legs for days had me sprinting for my damn life 😭 I was DRENCHED 💀

Stumbled upon some really cute trash pandas this morning on our walk with the kids 🦝💕 The parents giving us the bewildered death glare trying to sleep while the baby was wide awake was strangely relatable.
