This story has been on my mind all day. It's such a massive escalation, and truly horrific. Glad it actually made prime time news.

We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.

The story here is how young women's voting preferences have changed. The change for young men looks like statistical noise, but young women have seemingly had enough of Republican policies!

Local nonpartisan positions are only nonpartisan in name. The actual seat holders are partisan, and it behoves every voter to be informed of those leanings. It matters at every level, even in "small" local roles on school boards and city councils. Apolitical people will only uphold the status quo.

Here in WA state, we have "Filing Week," the first full week of May. If unsure, you can wait until Friday to see if anyone files to run for a seat, then file last minute. You can also withdraw anytime that following weekend, if you change your mind. Some seats cost money to file, but most are free!
