Good morning from Chicago's Dirksen Federal Courthouse. We're waiting for District Judge Sara Ellis to take the bench in the federal class action urging an injunction against federal immigration agents' violent behavior in Chicagoland. Ellis will issue an oral ruling on the injuction this morning.

Easily several hundred people have packed into this plaza in Chicago's North Center tonight in response to ICE abducting a daycare worker early this morning. This is a neighborhood that has largely been spared until now from the "Midway Blitz" terror campaign. But everyone knows someone affected.

U.S. District Judge Robert Gettleman just issued a temporary restraining order in response to the class action over the poor conditions in the Broadview ICE processing facility. It expires on November 19.

We just returned to Judge Ellis' courtroom after a brief lunch break. Rev. David Black, senior pastor of first Presbyterian church in Chicago, is now testifying about his protest activities.

U.S. Robert Gettleman is now giving his thoughts. He says, "I think the evidence has been pretty strong that this facility is no longer just a temporary holding facility. … "It has really become a prison."

Gettleman comments that the alleged conditions in Broadview are "in [his] words, disgusting." If they're true, he says, "Every day that goes by would be irreparably harming the putative class."
