Running crowdfunding campaigns is exhausting. I'm thankful for all the support from our partners and my team, but gosh it is a lot of pressure and I get nervous every single time I have to hit the 'go' button. Thankfully the audience has come through each time.

My cat, Bluebell, decided to pose under the Christmas Tree.

In the span of a few weeks I got to go to a local ren fair, and then fly across the world to go to Carcassonne, a real medieval city and castle... and while the set dressing for Carcassonne was the winner hands down... the vibes were very similar. And I met cool people at each.

Another success in learning how to cook! Brown Butter Miso Udon! Very tasty. But I guess any recipe that starts with 2 lbs of bacon and a stick of butter would. :D

Steam has done so much for the Linux community that it is unreal. Using my Steam Deck daily - hardly ever notice that these apps aren't just native. The performance on them is nuts compared to what I'd get converting it to a Windows box. And Windows needs competition to keep it honest.

I was lucky enough to also play with these at Spiel and bring a set home. It makes painting minis feel like using a coloring book. Super low stress. Love em.

Whelp, working late on a project on the weekend... being responsible and saving often - backing up files. Then Windows (I think One Drive, specifically) decides that nah, it will just permanently delete EVERY FILE I was working on all night. And now I have to start over.

One of the things I love when playing @onepagerules.bsky.social or other minis agnostic games is seeing so many minis from so many different companies on the table at the same time. And also hearing about the custom kit bash that many of them went through. Freedom is wonderful.

Our OPR Bluesky posts are getting more engagement than our Twitter and Facebook posts despite having ten times less followers than Twitter and twenty times less followers than Facebook. Only Instagram numbers seem to keep up, where we have 50 times more followers than Bluesky.

Worldbuilding, deciding that Sorcery is defined NOT as "magic that is inherent" like D&D, but as magic of fucking with the rules recycling voodoo dolls to work on someone beside the intended target, somehow brewing a potion without the correct ingredients embody the phrase "what sorcery is this?"

I can not tell you how important going to in person conventions is if you want to get involved in the game industry. There are other paths in, and yes it sucks that conversations are expensive and unavailable to many. But it is the fastest way to make real connections.
