Huge demonstration outside proposed site of Chinese super embassy today. My message to the CCP: if you want to open a new embassy, throw open the door of Jimmy Lai’s prison cell, unfreeze the savings of British Hong Kongers and close the slave labour camps in Xinjaing.

Concerned about excessive police force at today's protest. We were peaceful—an officer lost his temper, snatched slogan boards & beat people with them. Despite MI5 warning of security risk, Met Police citing safety concerns, Tower Hamlets Council raising objections & ongoing protests, UK Gov is turning a blind eye, and is about to greenlight this Chinese super-embassy—welcoming Beijing’s long arm onto British soil.
