This morning, I met with #Barclays to discuss the closure of their Barclays Local in Alexandra Palace Library. I expressed my deep disappointment at their withdrawal of this service, especially in light of the closure of all Barclays branches in Hornsey & Friern Barnet since I was elected in 2015.

Last week, it was a pleasure to attend the ‘TOGETHER’ exhibition at Crouch End Picturehouse. This inspiring showcase brings together talented artists from the Muswell Hill Creatives collective, alongside special guest makers, for a beautifully curated exhibition of art, textiles and ceramics.

Last week, I attended a drop-in event in Parliament to raise awareness of National HIV Testing Week (10 - 16 February). I’m proud that this Labour Government is committed to ending new HIV cases in England by 2030 and we will publish a new HIV Action Plan in the summer!

Earlier this week I was pleased to meet with local representatives from The Board of Deputies of British Jews. We spoke about the wonderful work of the Haringey Multi Faith Forum, inclusion and promoting cohesion. Thank you for everything that you do to represent faiths in Hornsey and Friern Barnet!

Great to have a catch-up with the Leader of Haringey Council last week. I discussed issues raised by constituents, including housing and Pension Credit uptake. I was particularly pleased to hear Haringey Council is on track to build 3,000 new council homes by 2031!

It was lovely to attend the annual Menorah Lighting in Crouch End tonight. I was pleased to be able to speak alongside local Councillors and Rabbi Boruch to join our local community in a ‘Night of Light’.

My office is now closed for the festive break, with only urgent casework being processed. My team and I will be back on the 6th January. The organisations below may be of assistance over this festive period. I hope you and your families have a wonderful, fulfilling, and restful break.

As we head towards the end of the year I thought I would share the type of casework my team & I have done in 2024 On your behalf we have dealt with over 2200 cases, and sent out just under 15,000 emails on a whole range of issues. I am proud of the impact we have made to so many in our community.

It was wonderful to pop in to The All Good Bookshop in Turnpike Lane to pick up some of my Christmas shopping over the weekend It is such a lovely community bookshop with choices for all the family. I had a great time with my colleague @dantomlinson.bsky.social at the HOPE for Paediatric Epilepsy Christmas Party. HOPE provide valuable advice, support and short periods of respite to families who have a child diagnosed with epilepsy and it was a pleasure to pass on my thanks for their hard work

Like so many of my colleagues my advice surgeries and my casework is dominated by housing issues. Labour is taking the action needed to resolve our housing crisis.

Today I joined Mr Speaker and colleagues from across Parliament to mark the 76th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

As always it was so lovely to visit the posties in Muswell Hill last week ahead of the Christmas rush. All the staff here work exceptionally hard and I am always so impressed by the dedication when I visit the team here. Thank you and I would like to wish you all the best for 2025!

Today, we unite to remember those we've lost to AIDS and to support those living with HIV. The UK is on a mission to become the first country to end new HIV cases by 2030. Together, we can achieve zero new HIV transmissions and ensure a healthy, stigma-free future for everyone 💪❤️
