Yet another piece of research which makes it harder to claim that 'sustainable' aviation fuels are the magic solution to allow expansion of aviation without damaging our climate targets. (clearly it will be completely ignored by government)

This is important - there are huge questions over the supply (and sustainability) of 'sustainable' aviation fuels. They emit the same as conventional fuel when burned, AND aviation has a hidden climate impact from releasing water vapour and other emissions at altitude, often ignored.

Who are the UK's ultra-frequent flyers (6+ flights per year)? - less than 3% of the population but take 30% of the flights - have higher incomes & are far more likely to fly Business or First Class - are more likely to fly on short-haul routes that could be done by train - fly mostly for leisure
