Portland police acted with deadly force that killed Damon Lamarr Johnson. Johnson was experiencing a behavioral and mental health crisis. Here’s another preventable tragedy that demands the right response for the right call and the end to the use of this type of deadly restraint position.

A Portland mom and her four children, who are U.S. citizens, are being detained in Ferndale by the U.S. CBP according to Rep. Maxine Dexter. The family has been held at the facility for nearly two weeks without any contact with legal representation or charges being filed, according to their lawyer.
