I took a couple day break from social media, I'm exhausted. It's hard not to feel like I'm not doing anything worth while in the current climate. I'm going to keep telling queer stories, I'm going to keep being alive. This is the only resistance I can perform, and it's enough.

Dustlings is about a human rediscovering their roots, and since "Dustling" is a word used to describe humans in the magical world, it felt like a good placeholder, but I ended up liking it so much I couldn't change it. WO's titles all relate to the theme of familial trauma in an abstract sense.

I post ‘no AI’ on all my book boost posts and every. single. time. it appears. In like two cases, the authors were lied to by grifters and immediately got new covers when I reached out. Most of the time I get ‘oh, didn’t read that’ or ‘I thought my ai cover was fine and you meant writing’ and like,

govt is putting up photos and rewards and people on bluesky keep posting photos of themselves and others on socmed stay safe dont share photos of protestors or yourself dont even take a phone with you to protests be safe be smart

And nothing of value was lost.

Oh it's time for the scene I've been obsessed with since book one. It's time to write the masquerade. I'm about half way through book two of WO and it's fought me the ENTIRE way, but I'm finally getting there!

I've been going to bed at like 9am and getting up at 5-6pm, which is just the way it is when my brain decides it's time to switch sleep schedules, but also I've been getting near constant headaches. Yay! It's also fucking hot.

I'm writing one book, yes, but what about second book? Book I only talk about to a couple people? Book I keep open in the background so I don't feel guilty? Book that only has one cool scene idea so far? You know about those, don't you?

It's D&D time, which means it's time to commit crimes and try not to die! Yay!
