I maaaaay be putting my fakemon region project on hiatus for a couple weeks because A) Ill be busy playing the heck out of Legends ZA, and B) so will a lot of other folks, and I feel like any new posts I make will be missed or buried by ZA related posts for a bit-

By far the hardest kinds of fakemon to design are the vaguely humanoid ones; you know, your Machamps, Conkeldurrs, Gothitelles, etc- It’s hard to make them feel convincing, if that makes sense? At least for me it is-

My reasoning behind Bibenki's design update was quite simple, really: I could make him rounder, chonkier, more of an orb... we have the technology

My reasoning behind Bellily's design update was that the original art felt real stiff and unfinished IMO, so it needed another round in the oven- The only major change is that now Bellily has visible legs, which I think helps further differentiate it from Floette!

For funsies ill explain my reasonings behind each design update: I felt like Submersibug's initial design was too clunky and jumbled looking. Also, I didn't like how its bubble was just solid blue; I wanted more details of its interior to be seen, so I tweaked it!
