One thing I hope people take away from the explosion in hate over the last few weeks is how quickly things can explode when there is simmering bigotry beneath the surface. People need to keep this in mind as the right builds its coalition of hate. All it takes is one spark.

This is the conspiracy theory that Musk is directly referencing. He is not coding things anymore. Yet GM still partners with Tesla. Google is now using its programmatic ad platform on X. Multiple large companies still advertise on X. The government still has multiple contracts with his companies.

XOutHate, the coalition of 161 Jewish leaders which called out antisemitism on X, has released a followup statement about the massive rise of antisemitism & Islamophobia on the platform. The war has unleashed a torrent of hate and misinformation which X and Musk are unable and unwilling to address.
