You can tell how much FFVI altered my young brain chemistry with how much I think about tense political/emotional dinner scenes.

Adding games on top of games like I'm building an enormous cartoon sandwich, but it's fun as hell. At PAX I ran Werewolf/Secret Hitler on top of a Vampire the Requiem game, and I liked how it felt. Mechanics are a tool, used or discarded as necessary to capture the emotional intent of the story.
