Merry Xrdmas! Throwback to 2024's Resshoumania.

It took some work, but I looked over my resshoumania showmatch and found this AD jK interaction came up the most, which I was aware of but wasn't expecting to come up as often as it did. These situations are nuanced and part of a larger system, but give me a good starting point on what to work on.

Kev's 2025 Xrd review. 🧵 (1/4) I played a lot less this year in hrs and events. I was happy that I was able to maintain my level of play, and even learn new stuff. After many years I mostly use this to reflect on my time and relationship with the game but some other facts are still amusing.

still reeling from RESSHOUMANIA but the thing that keeps echoing in my head (other than umapyoi densetsu) is that the venue staff told us that we were the easiest event they've ever had, and that our guests were extremely nice. i've never been more proud of our community than after hearing that.

After 4.5 years and 19 sets I took my first set off @pattheflip.bsky.social . This means a lot as it was something I was hard set on earlier on in my career. It's been great playing with him for so long. I hope I can show newer players that the journey to getting good is long but rewarding.

It's 2017. young kev is in japan for the first time in kyoto and heads straight to a-cho alone after checking into his hostel. it's a summer work night. the clerk is cosplaying chie from persona. there is only a group gathered to play blazblue, none for xrd. i dont understand, but it feels right.

my mom asked why i play xrd and not strive and the most effective thing that I said was "it similar to why you prefer to play tennis over pickleball"

i wanted to ask if this happens to anyone else. I dream about playing Xrd now and then when I'm asleep, and more frequently when I'm playing a lot. Almost every time I remember vividly game sequences that could actually take place, and I always remember the match to the end and I win.
