NYT video review confirms this. Pretti had a 2nd Am right to carry a firearm. But even if he didn’t he wasn’t pointing it at anyone or threatening agents. There is no legal justification for the execution-style shooting & no basis for DHS’s claim he was there to massacre them. He was a helper.

ANOTHER ANGLE. This man was NOT brandishing a firearm. He was holding his phone. He then put his body between ICE thugs and woman. He was then sprayed with a chemical agent, tackled, disarmed, and executed. Plain as day. DO NOT let them tell you otherwise.

This completely contradicts what DHS said. Guy was trying to help someone ICE pushed to the ground & getting pepper sprayed in the face for it. They yank him off and throw him to the ground. There is no threat to ICE, no one yells “gun” like they’re in danger. ICE guy unholsters his gun & fires.

Exactly this. Concealed and open carry are allowed in Minnesota. So having a gun doesn’t justify this. If the guy somehow got ahold of “his” gun (can’t believe shit DHS says), and the first shot from officer was in self defense, doesn’t justify the other multiple shots from other officers above.

National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation. Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.

If regular law enforcement don’t have the legal authority to enter your home without a judicial warrant (as a general rule, they don’t), then ICE — which has much more limited scope of operating authority — sure as hell doesn’t.
