I love this too, except my delight comes from seeing how people who self-identify as ‘not artists’ make *distinctly* artistic choices, showing just how much they observe their world and attempt to replicate how they see it. So, you know, do the whole ‘artist’ thing.

So it turns out Blender isn’t as difficult to learn as I feared it might be. Not to say it’s *easy*, but having a more technical background like mine definitely makes it a smoother ride. I’m having fun practicing rigging! NB: this is Blender for Mac, running on iPad via Jump Desktop to my Mac mini.

You know what? I’ve almost never posted pet pics before! Have an old but adorable pic of Paisley (left) and Shadow (right) having a moment. She adores him, and he likes her enough, especially as a playmate. But he’s not a fan of her in-your-face style of affection. So this was a must-have snapshot.

After some confusion on my part, I didn’t get on T to transition until tonight. But this is it! My first dose went in an hour ago. It was not nearly as scary to do as I thought it would be. Negligible discomfort, the needle gauge was teensy. Didn’t even feel like I earned my reward afterwards! LOL

Hah, almost 50 here, still find that mind blowing. As someone forced to parent myself and be an adult way before I was ready, this hits in an odd way. Such a confusing state to be in: way too mature, not grown enough. And THEN the sadness over lost years sets in. 😂

Artists: don’t be afraid of making messy art. This guy is a rough doodle but I LOVE him. He FEELS like what I have in mind. The looseness of working this way helps me focus on the “idea” rather than perfection. It’s a “vibes” stage that has incredible value. Don’t fear the starts and in-betweens!
