Last year I scored a lot of used server gear that had an LTO drive amidst the e-waste. Over the span of months and after some: hardware disassembly, tinkering, and learning some new operating environments, I'm finally adding TAPE to my backups. The kind of nerdy 10 year old me always dreamed of.

It's finished!! "My Avian Neighborhood": in total almost 100 hours of work in the span of 27 days to complete. So very proud of this one, it's going to be hanging in its first show over the next few months. Thank you to everyone who cheered me on, the species are in the alt text of the image! ✨

the full set of photos i took at charlottesville's "no kings" protest. i lugged around my 4x5 setup to shoot handheld (and had to repair the rangefinder on the fly!) and the results were pretty great. i should do it more often!
