There's a wonderful piece in yesterday's Today at the Tour that was specifically for Today at the Tour and wasn't aired. It's called 'reflections'. It's 5 minutes long so I can't upload it here unfortunately. From 14:45 -

'Cycling is not cricket. It is a far smaller sport, with a much smaller audience. If cricket – with its large and largely affluent fanbase – has suffered from not being on free TV, pushed to the margins, what hope does cycling have?'

Amazingly, the BBC have lost the broadcasting rights for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next year. The Games return but the BBC, which jave provided free-to-air coverage since 1954, has been outbid by TNT Sports/Discovery+. The BBC were "unable to match" the sports coverage giants.

I love Mads' attitude, but getting passionate about working your ass off to be within touching distance of Mathieu and Tadej's level has nothing to do the criticism he's addressing. (From a Mads fan)

I'm selling this for £79 and need it gone in the next few days. It's a bargain and it's in great condition. Brand new rear wheel and cassette too. I'm in Hertfordshire and can meet you in either King's Langley or St Albans with it. Just don't have the space to store it any more. Size large.

I was at NSN's launch in Barcelona on Tuesday. It was... interesting and infuriating. NSN successfully dictated the narrative, achieving the mission of controlling the story, but the media failed in its mission. There remain a lot of unanswered questions.

The questions no one asked NSN
A tightly managed public debut showed the team is eager to move on from its past, and the media seems happy to let them.
