This article has a bit more insight into the Lazkano case (though they don't cite sources for everything). It does appear more and more though that Red Bull could have known this before even signing Lazkano, if they had asked him to give them his biological passport data, which some teams do.

Well, only 9 riders on Jayco have contracts for 2027 right now. If I was one of the ones who's contract runs out in 2026, I would definitely start looking elswhere for the future. The team may have been saved for now, but everything so far sounds like next year's deadline may be more trouble.

Missing the deadline was more than just a small administrative issue for Jayco it seems. It is not quite clear from this article why the bank guarantee could not be deposited yet, but whatever the exact issue is, it points to at least liquidity issues, if not outright not having the funds 😬
