Titanfall 2's campaign is nothing short of a masterpiece, and what a gift it was for all of us. Such heart, incredible design, impeccable mechanics. Nearly ten years later it more than holds up, it remains arguably the pinnacle of the genre. If you've never played it, please do so.

Vince Zampella’s death hurts. He wasn’t just instrumental in the creation of some immensely formative games for me (MW2, Titanfall 1 and 2, and Apex Legends) but also shaped the modern FPS as a whole, and he seemed like an incredibly genuine guy. His absence will be felt a lot.

Went to see Avatar 3 last night and James Cameron just needs to be stopped. It’s astounding that he and his team are able to use industry-leading tech to craft such a visually striking world and then make two sequels with the most embarrassing, repetitive, hollow, structureless, dogshit stories

A friend and I have been trying to play Redsec for 45 minutes and so far we’ve got into one game out of here without any issues. 1st game, a bug causes my friend to basically cease to exist before the game starts. 3rd game crashes as soon as the chopper drop starts. Modern gaming is great!!1!1!

Jokes aside, I’m very glad I went back to Outer Wilds (first tried it not long after release in 2019! Couldn’t believe it was even that old!). Amazing capacity to make you feel like a complete idiot but those crucial breakthroughs are so satisfying. Really impressive!

Not at EGX this year for the first time since 2018 and can’t help but feel a bit sad about it. It was a great opportunity to speak to other journalists but there’s very little reason to go with it now being absorbed by MCM. Really sucks because Develop now feels like the only UK event

Oh and it looks like the assault rifle doesn’t have the classic 60-round magazine with a high fire rate - smh literally unplayable

Also still baffles me that Halo 3 never got an anniversary makeover. The best one! And it’ll be 20 years old in less than two years!

On the one hand, Halo CE is a good game and Campaign Evolved will be a nice excuse to play it again. On the other hand, why does it need to be a near-soulless UE5 extended tech demo.
