The Goldfinch is a beautiful little bird, almost verging on the exotic with its scarlet facemask, vibrant yellow wing feathers and chunky, parrot-like beak. The collective noun for a group of Goldfinches is a 'charm' and it is certainly very apt.  What birds have you spotted this January?
