De Maan vanavond in de buurt van de Plejaden. Morgenochtend schuift de Maan voor de Plejaden langs, maar dat is bij ons in daglicht en daarom niet te zien.

Is het je wel eens opgevallen dat je soms ook het 'onverlichte' deel van de #maan kunt zien? Dat komt doordat zonlicht via de aarde naar de maan wordt weerkaatst. Het wordt wel aardlicht of asgrauw schijnsel genoemd, en je kunt het vaak goed zien als de maan een smal sikkeltje is. #sterrenkijken

Atmospheric optical phenomena today. A 22-degree halo around the Sun in late morning, sundogs and a circumzenithal arc in the afternoon. All caused by a mix of cirrus clouds, virgas from cirrocumuli and contrails.
