Yuk was new faculty when I was an undergraduate studying planetary. It always felt like he was unchanging and ageless. He made so many contributions while remaining positive and joyful. Truly will be missed.

He loved to remind us that “nature is subtle but not malicious.” It was his way of saying, no matter how incomprehensible the universe may seem right now, it will reveal its secrets once we learn to listen in the right way.
