America faces serious challenges, and Senate Republicans this week are debating the "SAVE America Act" and "investigating" Special Counsel Jack Smith, revealing a party totally in thrall of one man's dangerous delusions and frauds.

So much of the questioning from conservative justices in RNC v Watson reflected mere policy concerns. But the Court shouldn't do policy. That's the foundational idea of the conservative legal movement. That shouldn't change because elections hurt the president's feelings.

I have old-fashioned conservative views about voting. I think it should be in person, on one day. But I also believe in the Constitution, the law, and federalism. States have great leeway to establish the manner of their elections. The RNC is wrong in the case before SCOTUS.
