I was laid off from Teen Vogue this week, alongside multiple other phenomenal team members. At our Summit, I was asked how it felt to be 1 of 2 Black women left and what that meant for representation. Now, there are no Black women at Teen Vogue and that is incredibly painful to think about.

I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day. certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

I gave it ⭐️⭐️.7️⃣5️⃣/5 I think it gave clear, direct insight into the campaign from Madame VP’s POV, but it lacked more in depth analysis & lessons to be learned for the Democrats and Americans at-large. I was tapped in during the election & could recount 75% of the book.

Finished Ultra-Processed People at the end of September. I’d give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. Definitely picked up some insights on ultraprocessed foods and the near impossibility to avoid them. Overall, the book felt too long and began to drag on towards the end.
