Please please please just make your fucking comic. It doesn't have to have mass appeal or be marketable. I'm literally making a comic about gay aztec steampunks. A publisher would laugh me out the door. I still have a budding audience!! And even then! If it brings you joy, make the fucking comic!

As the LDC Online Comics Fair comes to a close with the end of July, we take a look at a pair of its cuter, more disturbing offerings.

woah! what a lovely dual review of MOTHER (by me) and Dream Machine by Ky Lawrence. this is such a considerate and articulate piece of writing that gets across SO much of what i was hoping to do with this comic (also how wicked is that header image?! thank you @arpadokay.bsky.social !!)

my ipad has been getting uncomfortably hot with the weather so i've been doing a LOT of drawing with biro and printer paper, like i used to at uni just dropped some colours behind this sketch to figure out characters for a new(!) comic and just.... WHY did i ever stop doing this?!

it feels like there are a million great new comics out this month, and over 80 of them are in the LDC fair! if you're struggling to choose to which ones you might vibe with, BF's reviews are always thoughtful and comprehensive (and just really nice reads in general). highly recommend!

lads how are we storing zines that don't have identifiable spines? i'd do a wall mounted shelf but we're renting with a strict landlord... i just want something better than my current situation (a box full of filled tote bags in my wardrobe)
