This is slow TV but I’m missing my dogs. After breakfast & romping, Musty & Nessa like to play “share the bone shard”. This involves having a chew, then passing it back & forward. Usually many passes happen, but Musty got distracted. It’s a lovely down-time ritual to watch.

Freshwater insect larvae come in many shapes and sizes. This is a beetle (Psephenidae) - a Water Penny. They look like tiny chitons at the beach and their design is great at stopping water from knocking them off rocks. Flip them over (right) and you can see the insecty head and legs. #Tasmania

I am on a steep learning curve about owning a long-haired dog. A walk in the rainy dog park yesterday gave the added bonus of 50 000 burrs to remove from an impatient pup.

All praise to Mures for making the stance (possibly just as a mark of maintaining quality seafood ingredients because bacteria & antibiotic laden fish aren’t ideal). I’ll make an effort to have some meals there now. I haven’t visited for years.
