I read the curriculum review's conceptual position paper, and, well, inject it into my veins. English education is in good hands.

We know there is so much creativity in the history teaching world, but it is not always easy to have the time to search for sources, or find the latest interpretations. PATHfinders aims to bring a raft of fascinating materials to your inbox each half term to inspire your planning /2

Really excited by this new part of the
#CurriculumPATHS
project. We are collaborating with various bodies to share sources and interpretations to inspire
#historyteacher
s in their planning for school. Our first set is a collab with the BL looking at Britain and India 1600-1947. Please share!

Those who live and breathe curriculum and assessment by teaching every day have a deep and unique understanding of what’s going well and what needs to improve. If that’s you, please do share your precious insights through the call for evidence.

I’m sorry. Those of us who know, know that we almost have to work 10 times harder to be perceived to be good enough and yet people will still think we’re the token hire. Keeping shining and sharing your brilliance! ✨

It really is perpetually disappointing that no matter your experience, your passion, or the work that you do, as a Black woman it is inconceivable to people right across the political spectrum that you could be anything other than a tokenistic appointment.

Six years ago, literally nobody asked me what my advice would be for new teachers starting in September. So I told them. And now, years later, still nobody has asked me. So here it is again 👇🏽

; critical thinker, knowledgable, kind and importantly, a front-line teacher in a great inner city school. I’m excited and optimistic about this review. I just hope along with the why and what, there’s consideration of the plan for implementation.

This is a good group of people bringing a range of perspectives to the work. Particularly pleased to see Funmi involved. Her input at CST conference a couple of years ago, and the paper she co-wrote were excellent. She’ll bring a lot to the review.
