I have started Bird War 1 at my feeder. A woodpecker showed up and immediately was set upon by 4 Chickadees and a mama house Finch. Now a crow is chasing/ fighting the woodpecker in a tree. Pretty sure they all remember when I yanked all the feeders due to woodpecker damage last year.

It’s cold today and I didn’t sleep well. Work is annoying and I just want to nap on couch.

I am proud to be part of the “under babied” group of Americans but the etymology of that implies there is an “over babied” meaning you can have too many. I am ready to be over kittened though. Bring me the kittens!

Looking at adoption applications and I feel these are really for first time cat owners. “Provide evidence of where the cat will sleep” it’s a cat, wherever the hell it wants. I mean it if picks something like the stove yes it’s getting moved but pretty much all soft surfaces are fair game.

A friend took in a long haired Siamese that is pregnant and too late to spay abort. So we might have a new addition in 12 weeks or so. My husband doesn’t want to apply to rescue a cat but he says if a free kitten pops up that’s a friends grandkitten it all works out.
