Never played Xak, but I’m starting to delve into the series’ art, blogs, reviews etc., as it looks quite appealing. Definitely an Ys clone, but Micro Cabin clearly put a lot of effort and enthusiasm into the series’ art and visual design. Definitely going to give it a go once I’ve more spare time 😅

A dungeon crawler curiosity here: Family Trainer 5: Meiro Daisakusen on the Famicom uses an accessory controller to navigate a boy through a series of mazes (dungeons 😉). The mazes themselves look very simple but I guess the idea is fitness over exploration or mapping lol #drpg #blutoid #famicom

Absolutely loved this short, young-adult sci-fi book from 1969. It’s set on the Moon, a hundred years in the (then) future. Great build up and a really thought-provoking narrative. I’m definitely going to keep my eye out for more novels by John Christopher! #books #scifi #blutoid

Finished Princess Knight Part 1. It’s so great! I started reading it to my eldest son too (he’s 5), and he also loves it :D He’s really into pretending to be female characters in his imaginary games, so I think the crazy gender swap aspect of the story really connected with him #blutoid
