Played through the short demo of Pragmata. Came away feeling like there’s a lot of potential. Definitely keeping on my wishlist. I almost want to make this a priority when it releases to help support new IP. I feel like we as gamers often stick to what we are familiar with too often.

This is one of the best transformations in the Ace Attorney series I’ve seen. From beastly king to cowardly lion. 😂

It’s weird. Ever since you could play retro games on modern consoles I have always opted for no scan lines. I wanted my screen as clear as possible. But I recently tried using them and now I can’t go back. I have to have them. 😂

It’s annoying to post a list of fun games for a system and have someone comment there’s no “system sellers” in the list. So what? System sellers are great but there is fun to be had in games that may score in the average range, or sometimes even worse, as well.

I remember the first time I ever got here. It was dark and spooky. I was still getting accustomed to playing in 3D areas. And this thing legit scared me. I didn’t notice it until it was right up on me. I thought it was an enemy. 😂

Played about 90 mins of Monster Hunter Stories 3 demo. World is beautiful. Seems like it will be fun to explore with tons of objectives to complete. Battle system was hard for me to grasp in that time, despite an in depth tutorial. I think it will be good once it’s understood.

Everything I bought for Wii during its run. While I eventually soured on motion controls, this system still provided a ton of fun during its 6 year run. Favorite game was hands down Xenoblade Chronicles. WiiWare was my first experience with digital games. Lots of good memories in this pic.

Here’s the list of games that interested me from yesterday’s Direct. Some were already on my wishlist, some were added, and some were already on it but switched to NS2. Indiana Jones would have been included but I’ve already played it (it’s awesome!). It’s more than I’ll have time to play.

Dragon Quest II Remake finished! Right around 56 hours. That concludes 7 weeks of playing I & II. (86 hours total). I was fortunate with the final boss. I was not going to survive another round! Looking forward to DQ 7 but I’m going to need a DQ break.

I love the Dragon Quest games…until the final boss. Save that kind of challenge for post-game. I don’t think it should be 3X harder than anything you’ve faced to get there. Guides always recommend equipment and abilities you don’t have, lol. Going to have to walk away today.

Ever buy a game and have buyer’s remorse the same day? This was one on NES for me. Realized pretty quick I had made a mistake. One hit kills and it felt like I had experienced everything the game offered within an hour. $50, just gone.

Hello old friend. Is has been a while. I can’t even begin to describe what it was like playing this game for the first time in 1996 following 15 years of playing games on a 2D plane. I think it’s nearly impossible to grasp how mind blowing it was unless you were there.

Sometimes I miss the days of only having opinions about video games pushed upon me once per month out of magazines. Not that I would want to return to that but it did make keeping up with the latest news a more peaceful and pleasant experience.

Started playing Ace Attorney Investigations 2 right after completing the first one. Game starts off with a bang…quite literally 😂

So apparently you won’t be able to import Miis for Tomodachi Life onto Switch from the internet? That’s ridiculous. In preparation started transferring what I have on 3DS to NS2. I’ll grab some new ones using 3DS, then transfer to NS2…a little at a time so I’m prepared.

Played some Gilligan’s Island on my old NES. My memories of it aren’t positive. However, I did clear the first episode and it wasn’t terrible. Had to find materials to build a hut. Episode 2 has Mary Ann being captured by headhunters. I’ll admit I laughed a couple times at Gilligan’s antics.

First game in the Ace Attorney Collection completed! Around 32 hours for me. I had played Miles Edgeworth years ago but remembered nothing from it. The Ace Attorney games are always fun. Going to jump right into the second game in the collection.

Unpopular opinion I guess…but I’m glad Nintendo is only dropping a handful of VB games on Feb 17 instead of most or all of them. Gives me something to look forward to throughout the year and I’m likely to spend more time with each as they get their own times to be spotlighted.

Too true in today’s climate…Dragon Quest 2 Remake

My GameCube collection. I’ll be the first to admit I may have overindulged. However, many of these I bought on sale at the time. Nothing additional purchased after the Wii launched. This was a fun system!

Testing out some of my old SNES games. I’m still surprised how good RetroTink makes these games look on a modern TV. For years I never touched them because they looked like a jumbled mess when I hooked them up. Now they look almost the way I remember them.

Hoping the Tomodachi Life Nintendo Direct tomorrow offers some surprises. Also curious if there will be any features to make connecting with others (Street Pass features) or sharing Miis with friends easy.

Steady progress through the Dragon Quest Remakes. 30 hours to complete Dragon Quest 1 and now over 40 hours on Dragon Quest 2. I think I’m near the end but have been messing with some side stuff. Should get it completed soon!

Talk about a hell of a prediction! I was reading the Virtual Boy coverage in the latest issue of @nfpublishing.bsky.social last night when I ran across this article. This is one of the unreleased games that was revealed by Nintendo yesterday as coming later this year. Lucas absolutely nailed it!

I can’t believe I allowed myself to get hooked on Animal Crossing again, but here we are. My daily routine takes 45 minutes minimum. 😂

Man, what a view! Pic doesn’t really do it justice. It’s awesome that games can look this great now, either photorealistic or with an art style such as Zelda:TotK. I feel like it’s easy to take for granted.

It’s kind of neat revisiting this game and seeing these Zelda enemies in N64 form, like this lizalfos, with the knowledge of what it looks like today.

Looks like I’ll be keeping Zelda: OoT in my gaming rotation one more week until Nintendo makes their next NSO drop. Woe is me… 😂

I know people like to dunk on the Nintendo Today app but I enjoy it. It’s usually 5 minutes or so, 7 days per week, I can nerd out on all things Nintendo. Game lore, gaming memories, snippets of upcoming games, reminiscing on games released years ago, I look forward to it each day.

Man, created 2 posts over the last day in which I’ve gushed about how much I’m enjoying games. Reading some of the comments, a few people seem genuinely offended by that, lol.

Every time I revisit Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom I’m reminded how spectacular this game is. I don’t know where the Zelda team goes from here without dialing it back a bit.

Sometimes I’m glad Nintendo didn’t provide much assistance in finding collectibles in Mario Kart World. I feel like I can play this game periodically for years and always stumble upon something new. I would have methodically cleared it all as quick as possible with hints.

Long term goal for 2026 is clearing out this map in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. I’ve made a dent. Zelda Notes app has been perfect to get me back in this world with some purpose without replaying the entire game, which is too daunting for me. Game is just awesome!

First 8 months on Nintendo Switch 2 have kept me very busy. Curious to see what the next 8 months and beyond have in store. I’ll also have to find time to play Cyberpunk. It’s the only one I haven’t played yet.

In the 5th and final episode of Miles Edgeworth in Ace Attorney Collection. I originally played this in 2010 on DS but have not remembered one detail from it. After completing it there is a brand new (for North America) second game to play. Steady progress…and quite entertaining.

I must have played very little of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Paradise because I had no idea polishing furniture was even an option. As I got back in due to the 3.0 update, decided to check this aspect out too. Going to be a long wait for the next Animal Crossing game.

Last week it was SNES, this week N64! All of the games I purchased during the N64 run. Nothing was purchased after the GameCube released. The N64 is the system I look back on with the most fondness. Quite happy with most of the games I picked up. The Rare games were equal to Nintendo for me.

Active night on the Animal Crossing island. I still feel like there isn’t enough included in the 3.0 update. When I play each day I usually play longer than planned but it’s doing stuff I could have been doing prior to the update.

Still exciting to find a new recipe in Animal Crossing you don’t have yet. This one is especially cool.

Mario Wonder update sounds cool? Maybe? I wish they were a little more clear on what’s available for single player. Toad Brigade Training Camp appears to be available single player. But is it cake easy? Tracking down the Koopalings has potential for single player fun.
