I’m in the best part of any Metroid game…I have all the abilities and I’m just cleaning up everything I missed. Nothing is blocked!

Got these really cool 3D printed Mario/Luigi hats for Christmas! Not sure exactly where I’m going to put them although this spot isn’t looking too bad.

When I first saw some Kirby Air Riders videos I thought that’s just too much chaos for my tastes. After playing it a month I’m like…give me more! I seriously checked to see if I could add more machines to this chaotic 33 lap race, lol.

12/19/25…Marking this day as the day my project begins to get my systems cleaned up, working, cables replaced, connected to the TV, and ready to play whenever I want. I expect it will be a long process but I have a RetroTINK on the way so I’m committed to getting this done.

Wario World has some unique bosses. I have the game on GameCube from 2003 but I remember very little from it. Fun to revisit on NSO.

How can you not like Ed from Tonic Trouble? 😂 Man, this game takes a lot of patience because you will absolutely take damage and die when it’s not your fault. But still, even with massive warts I kind of like it. This genre of N64 gaming will never get old to me.

Nice…playing Kirby Air Riders and thought something was wrong with my Switch. Suddenly races were running much slower in that even the timer was running behind normal time. Finally figured out I accidentally put it in slow mode. 🤦‍♂️ Forgot that feature was even a thing.

Tonic Trouble on N64 NSO controls rough and has a camera that is ass. But you know what? I’m down for it. Enjoy trying out these older games I passed over back in the day.

Overpriced? Absolutely. But for me, they add to the authenticity of the Nintendo Switch Online experience so I’m glad to have them all. I’m right around 1,000 hours played for the older systems on this service. I’m not sure my enthusiasm would be the same without the controllers.

The recall feature in these Dragon Quest Remake games is genius. Select up to 30 comments from NPCs to save. Someone gives an obvious clue that you think might come in handy later? Save it. No more vaguely remembering a clue from a couple days ago. Love it.

Oh yeah! Just fought a really fun boss! And now it’s out to the desert to chill a little.

You don’t realize how quiet the Switch 2 Pro controller is until you have to use the Switch 1 Pro Controller while the Switch 2 Pro Controller is charging.

Actually considering breaking out the old NES with Dragon Warrior and playing it along with Dragon Quest 1 Remake just to appreciate the similarities and differences.

When I’m progressing steadily, Metroid is awesome. But when I get stumped, Metroid can be frustrating. Nice steady progression today!

Got the new poster on display! A week or two overdue.

Purchased my 6th, and most likely last set of vouchers. Going to miss that $10 savings. Fortunately you can always find eshop cards on sale so there is still some savings to be had.

I’ve been waiting a while for an option to turn up the music in Mario Kart World!

Man, as a kid I used to make elimination brackets of all (at the time) 28 NFL teams and play to a Super Bowl. I seem to recall playing 5 or 6 seasons like this. These really bring back memories.

I’m always amused that 2 games featured on the back of my Nintendo GameCube box never released on it. Also discovered my receipt inside. Apparently I got thru the launch line at 12:25am on 11/18/01. Also references the still fresh 9/11 incident. Paid $199.99.

It’s interesting that with Age of Calamity I experienced fatigue and eventually mainlined it to finish. I’m now over 30 hrs with Age of Imprisonment and am still doing every side quest available. I especially like trying to complete the character quests. It’s a game within the game.

I’m glad Nintendo is giving us new islands in Animal Crossing. I’ve got each area of my current island themed to a holiday and don’t really want to change it!

One of the greatest joys in gaming is taking a chance on a game and discovering you like it much more than expected going in. I’ve had it happen 3 times this year. Drag x Drive, Pokemon Legends Z-A and now Kirby Air Riders. The best part is at 10+ hours, I’m just getting started!

Gaming like it’s 1990 again! Sometimes it’s fun to go back.

Drag x Drive…better than it’s given credit for imo. Online games are short and a lot of fun, especially if you get teammates willing to pass. (Ball hogs are the worst)

Been a long time since I’ve played Super Ghouls ‘N Ghosts. This was the second game I got for my Super Nintendo.

Misc. A Tiny Tale…if you like 3D platformers similar to those of the N64 era, put this on your wishlist to check out after Donkey Kong Bananza. 8 worlds to explore, fun platforming, hidden collectibles, and a heartfelt story. Shame few are talking about it. It’s really good.

@twodollarhero.com I think you mentioned in Misc. A Tiny Tale that the difference made points can be used to learn more about the characters? How do you access that? I don’t see any options on NS2.

The more time I put into the free roam mode of Mario Kart World the more I really appreciate it. I was turned off by the lack of tracking at first but as I hunt the question mark panels in each area and find the other secrets by chance it’s become something I really enjoy jumping into.

What a pleasant surprise! I forgot Super Mario Advance: SMB2 gives you an excuse to play thru it a second time by hiding these Yoshi eggs in each level!

What a nostalgia hit! Kid Icarus was the third game I got for my NES, the second game I ever bought with my own money, and the first game I ever bought knowing this was the game I was getting upon entering the store. Nintendo Power probably sold me on it. Spent a summer playing over and over.

I could not have asked for a better game than Xenoblade Chronicles X to wrap up my experiences with Nintendo Switch 1. Currently at 131 hours and in the last section. While some have quit playing NS1 waiting for NS2, I’ve been playing NS1 a TON during these last couple months.

While I’m really looking forward to spending a lot of time with Mario Kart World and checking out Switch 2 Welcome Tour for the NS2 launch, what I’m actually most excited about is revisiting the Zelda games the the new Notes app. I want to explore those worlds again finding new items.

It has been a while. Super Mario 2 on NES was the first time I experienced pre-release hype. Tried to soak up every bit of info I could find. This was also on one of the games I bought at the Game Boy Advance launch.

Been playing Xenoblade Chronicles X since launch but this will the first week of it being the main game in my rotation, meaning I’ll put more time into it. I fully expect this to last me right up to the launch of Switch 2 and I’m quite happy with that!

I remember I would go months in Pikmin Bloom and never see another player. Today it’s rare to tackle a mushroom and not have the max people battling on it. Inviting friends featured has been greatly improved.
